This page explains what Journeys Driving Academy (1000728687 Ontario Ltd.) does with the personal information you give us. What we collect
- When you register or buy online: the payer's name, email, phone and billing address. The driver's name, date of birth, phone, email, home address, driver's licence number, licence class, and issue and expiry dates. A parent or guardian's name and phone if the driver is under 18. How you heard about us, and whether you live inside city limits.
- When you send us a form: what you type into it.
- Card details go straight to Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
Why we collect it
- To register the driver in their course, take payment, and contact you about classes and lessons.
- To record the driver's course completion with the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, which needs their licence details.
- To keep the business and tax records we're required to keep.
Who we share it with
We only share it with the services that run this website and take payments, and with the Ministry for course completion:
- Stripe processes card payments. It gets the payer's name, email, billing address and the order amount. It doesn't get the driver's licence details.
- Rocket.net hosts this website and its database.
- Cloudflare delivers the website and protects it from attacks.
- Brevo sends our emails, like your receipt.
- The Ontario Ministry of Transportation receives the driver's completion record.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Cookies
The site only uses the cookies it needs to work, like the one that holds your registration while you check out. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
Online orders that are never paid, or that fail or are cancelled, are deleted after 30 days. Registrations are kept as long as we need them for the course, the Ministry and our tax records.
Keeping it safe
Everything you send through this site travels over an encrypted connection. Registrations can only be seen by Journeys staff, through password-protected accounts.
