Good to know
Questions we get a lot
Is it the same as the in-person course?
No. The online program uses the MTO-approved Trubicars curriculum and in person uses Brisa on Wheels. Both are MTO approved and end with the same sign-off on your MTO record.
Do I still get the G2 head start?
Yes. Your MTO record is updated when you finish, so you can take the G2 road test 8 months after getting your G1 instead of 12. Insurance discounts may apply as well.
Are the in-vehicle hours online too?
No. Your 10 in-vehicle hours are in person with a professional instructor, and we pick you up and drop you off for every one of them, within our service area.
Would I rather be in a classroom?
If you'd like a room with an instructor and other students, the learning becomes more interactive and personal. Take the in-person BDE. Taking the online program is more difficult and requires hard personal discipline.
Is there a timeline for course completion?
Yes. You must complete the online program and your in-vehicle lessons within one year or your course will expire.
When can I start my in-vehicle lessons?
You can only start your in-vehicle lessons once the online program is complete, which includes the 10 hours of Homelink.
