NICOLE MONGRAIN

I have designed and built a driving academy rather than a “school”. The difference is that an academy is built on refining, educating and giving the student the tools to excel. It’s not just about teaching the basics of driving. Having been a Driving Instructor for 17 years, I decided I could give back to students with my vision of teaching, educating and refining driving skills. I want students to be safe defensive drivers. Educating students about their driving rights and liabilities is crucial to being safe on the road. It is important to me that students develop the confidence to safely drive anywhere in Canada or internationally. My team of instructors are approachable, friendly and professionally trained to offer the best experience whether you are a teen, adult, international student or a senior. I am a certified in-car driving Instructor, classroom Instructor and a Teaching Instructor for new Driving Instructors for Ontario Safety League. I am fully bilingual in English and French. I have extensive training in many areas of driving including the Highway traffic act, fuel efficiency techniques, defensive driving and will deliver the most effective teaching methods. My 30+ years experience in Customer Service, leadership and management positions has given me the background to develop the best learning experience for you.
All students will be prepared with the skills to achieve success on the G2 or G road test.

I am Jodi and I am the Office Manager at Journeys Driving Academy. I was born in Sarnia and am now raising my family here. I love the people, the community and our great beaches!
I attended Lambton College and have a diploma in Executive Office Administration. I am proud to work for a local business and am glad to be part of a company that is helping keeping our roads safe!
I previously worked as a Customer Service Agent at Sarnia Drive test office for 17 years. I believe my many years of experience and knowledge of the licensing process is a great asset that I bring to the Journeys team! I love working with the community, helping families and teens prepare for an important and exciting milestone in their life.
SANDRA ADAIR

I am Sandy and I have 10 years experience as a Driving Instructor and Classroom Instructor. I was born in Montreal and have lived 30 years in Sarnia. I love the people of Sarnia and our beautiful waterfront. It is the perfect place to learn driving skills while having a beautiful lake as our backdrop. I have over 30+ years of customer service background. I enjoy music, meeting and getting to know new people. I believe in getting to know each of my students and learning what anxiety they may have about driving and helping them to relax a become a competent safe defensive driver.
FRANCES HURST

My name is Frances and I have been an instructor for Journeys Driving Academy since 2021. I was born in Mississauga and raised in Sarnia and Corunna, and moved to Orangeville in 2016. I returned in 2019 right before Covid hit. Growing up I was surrounded by professional drivers - my father drove for a living, my step-father raced cars as a hobby and my mother can drive anything with an engine! I recall when I myself was in drivers ed, thinking it must be so awesome to be an instructor, so when I was invited to join the Journeys team it was a no-brainer for me! I have over 20 years of customer service experience and really enjoy getting to know my students. I have kids myself and have the patience to assist anxious new drivers. My favourite part of my job is watching a student master a new daunting skill, and the look of pride on their faces when they pass their road test!
Alex Curry

My name is Alex Curry and I have been a driving instructor since the start of the pandemic in 2020. I have over 20 years of driing experience, I obtained my full G license at 17 years old. I have driven all sorts of cars ranging from large trucks to small sports cars. I joined the Journey's team in 2024 and have enjoyed teaching my students everything they need to know to become a safe driver. In my time as an instructor I have helped hundreds of students attain their G2 and G licenses. I have worked with all sorts of students ranging from new teenager drivers, mature students, and new comers to Canada. I am very patient as a driving instructor and do everything in my power to assist you with your basic and advanced driving skills and help you prepare for your driving tests. I believe my students have everything they need to succeed in safe driving and I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
